Strange Week

Dear Family,

This was kind of a strange week. This past week, Denisa wasn't here because she went to Germany to visit her family and look for work out there. She may be moving there. Oh no! So she was gone all week and that cut down a little on our lessons but we still taught nineteen lessons this week, which Elder Price tells me is awesome. This next week we want to break twenty lessons. That'd be cool.

Anyway, let me get to the weird part. This transfer, Zlín was cut from four to two missionaries. Basically we lost one companionship here, so we have one extra apartment. Elder Price and I have been going over there on a few P-days to clean up a little and make sure that it's in pretty good shape to give back to the land lord. Well, this week we finally closed it and gave it back and the land lord wasn't happy. What can you expect when you have eight years of twenty-year old boys going in and out of there? I have to agree to some extent; it was pretty trashed in some respects. Anyway, she and her lawyer came to a meeting with us and showed us all the "destroyed and missing" objects. Some of them were exaggerated, but most of the things were truthful. One of the more ridiculous is one table she said was destroyed- and I guess you could call it destroyed- some elder super-glued a cup to one of the coffee tables. Why? I have no clue. Then they hid it in the china cabinet. Genius. Anyway, so that put me and Elder Price in a bad mood. Then the next day we weren't having alot of success. We had a lot of meetings set up and most of them canceled right before we were supposed to go to them. The end of the day worked out pretty well but that morning was rough getting started.

Also, Denisa contacted us one day and asked if we could watch her dog because her friend who was watching her couldn't do it that evening and Denisa wasn't returning until the next day. So we would only have to watch her for one night. Ugh. So we called up a few members who could probably do it and then we asked President to see if we could do it if no one else could. No one could but later Denisa texted back and said that she had convinced her friend to stay that night and keep her dog for her. So that was averted. Anyway, we found out that President would allow us to if no one else could. So that option was open if it was completely necessary. The next day Denisa called back and said that her mom kept her too long and she missed her train, so she wasn't going to be home when she said she was and that her friend really did have to leave this time. So we went to meet her friend and pick up the dog. Her name is Adinka. She's a cute little dog and really well mannered. So we had a dog for one day. First time in my life, or the part of my life that I can remember. That was an adventure.

Sorry people, I'm just not feeling up to writing this week. I'm in a weird mood right now and I hope that I snap out of it because I need to go and be cheerful for people here in Zlín. =\ Anyway, that's all I'm going to write this week because I'm not feeling really awesome and because my time's nearly out.

Love you all and hope you all have an awesome week.
