Dear Family,
The time is drawing near and I finally feel that the mission is real. It was the same way when we moved from Texas to Connecticut, but I feel a little more worried about this one: I can actually screw up my mission. Despite these feelings, the local missionaries came to visit me at work, because I had been telling them that I'd like to see them before I leave and they happened to come while I was at work. They said that I am more prepared right now than they were when they left because I am actually in contact with my missionaries! They said that neither of them, Elder Fattelah and Elder Vuyk, hadn't really spoken to their local missionaries, much less knew them well. They pointed out that I had been out with the missionaries on multiple occasions on splits and teaching investigators, one of whom has gotten baptized. I am very proud of Nigel. I hope that I am able to be as good as the missionaries in this area and bring other people unto Christ.
This is the last night I'm going to be spending here in Connecticut, and it turns out to be just a normal day. It just goes to show me that life goes on and will continue to go on even after I leave on this exciting time in my life. I know that I'm going to have an awesome time. I just hope that everyone else will be as happy as I will be these next few years.
Love you all,
Soon to be Elder Monk
